Improving patient service in rural Romania is the main objective of this project. It will create a collaboration between a local doctor, Romanian-born specialists living in France, and CLUJ University graduates of French origin.
The platform will also train young Romanian doctors in modern technologies and validate and quantify doctors’ opinions.
Streamlining peer-to-peer exchanges
A 12-month pilot phase is under consideration. For this pilot, a general practitioner in Hodosa and four specialist physicians in France will use the platform.
In addition, a medical student intern will accompany the local general practitioner.
To test the flow of exchanges and its functionality, five opinions per month will be requested.
The patients will be those of the Hodosa general practitioner.
The specialists in France are graduates of CLUJ, Targu Mures, or other universities and are members of LMH France.
The students are from the University of CLUJ and Targu Mures.
General principle of the project
Quarterly monitoring
The project will be overseen by a Franco-Romanian steering committee, comprising general practitioners and specialists, as well as Jean-Jacques Hirsch, founder of the foundation.
Each quarter, a meeting will be held to review the project as a whole, any problems encountered and find appropriate solutions.
